About Interyear

Interyear Fellowship offers both summer and year-long opportunities for young adults who are committed to living in an intentional Christian community focused on discerning their vocation. Each Fellow will gain valuable, hands-on experience serving in a nonprofit or ministry that is committed to social change. We believe that community and service, along with spiritual disciplines provide the best avenue for building a life filled with purpose and service in the kingdom of God.

OUR MISSION

Interyear Fellowship provides opportunities for young adults to engage their faith through service in community while exploring their vocation.

Our Vision

We seek to inspire young adults into a life of contemplative spirituality, defined by healthy practices of faith that move them to become fully alive and active in the transformation of the world around us with love, compassion, grace, and purpose.

our location

Interyear Fellowship is currently operating our standard program year and Summer Fellows program in the Johnson City, TN area. We hope to expand to other cities in the near future.

our belief

Interyear Fellowship exists to be in service to the gospel and the body of Christ. We are  grounded in Scripture and our Christian heritage with a biblical approach to ministry. Joining Christians across traditions and throughout the ages we affirm our faith with the words of the Apostle’s Creed:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy universal church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
